This is the design we want for waterloo!
There mite be to much stuff for the space but we can take out some stuff and redesign to fit.
Just cross your fingers that chad ford goes along with it or we will end up with another one of his shithouse park designs.
where is the bowl and or 1/2 pipe?
does look interesting. do you know if its true that waterloo will retain the original metal 1/2 pipe cut down to a mini ramp and relocated to somewhere else in the park?
fuck a bowl and halfpipe !!! u want to skate that go to maroubra or bondi
hehehe I already do, but seriously I think the new street plaza is the way to go for the newer generation of skaters as its something which is lacking in the collection of Australian Parks and I would definitely check it out just to prove to everyone that I can ollie 3 inch's (with the wind behind me) But it seems a shame to totally trash the old 1/2 pipe there already especially since it is still a good ride
OK, you've put forward your opinion, now here is mine:

Understatement of the year. There is WAY TOO MUCH STUFF stacked into that design! Not only that, but some of those obstacles are just plain ridiculous.
Based on the evidence thus far, you'd be better of getting a Chad Ford design...
Good luck with the future revisions of the design.
what's the Budget for this park ?
Park could be more 'street' if you use:
a few shops around the outside w/ irate owners
lots of ' no skateboarding here' signs
some of those anti-skate devices on all the ledges
markets and buskers on weekends
overfull stinky garbage bins throughout the park
a busy pedestrian footpath running through the centre
a couple of on-site alcoholic bums
lots of cracks, holes, soft road tar patches.etc.
Yeah, fuck the bowl idea right off ! It's a waste of time to skate anything but the street and the local little kids just want a street park. They don't want nor need nuttin else !
LOL
yeah mark i agree theres a bit to much
but looks to me that if you dont like that park then you dont like street skating so still to bondi and maroubra then.
BY THE WAY THAT DESIGN WAS BY AARON JENKIN FROM 99 DEGREES SKATESHOP SYDNEY.
Yeah''''''
Wheres the bowl / halfpipe, actually sydney needs a decent halfpipe (like the new one at Prahran)...
Would be cool to have it in the midst of the city 2'
Bring on the comps then'
Not as much travellin' to The Moaning 1 then (Mona).
You Ramp heads have Bondi and Maroubra and many more ramp oriented parks...let us have ONE decent street park F.F.S
That park is far to crowded, some of those obstacles will be impossible to hit. As much as it is a street style park it still needs to have lines making it possible to put a run together. Also you need to think about how the park will direct people so you don't have to many collisions. Not dissing the street park idea, it will compliment the other tranny style parks being built around oz as long as it is done well. the conburg street park is fun but a pain in the arse cause you have to walk back to the top.
I like vert always have always will. But I also like the idea of something different. good luck with the street plaza.
