I drove past fernside(waterloo skatepark) this morning and the ramp has been chopped up, a fence is surrounding the area and there are trucks on the park.
ha, it's a good thing.
Hopefully it means they are going ahead asap with the new one ???????????????
they have started work. Same company ( Zalem ) that poured the concrete for Bondi. I'll try and find out when it's going to be finished, but what was the final design ?
the trucks move in. Only council there today so no idea when construction begins
rip, wonder when the new park is scheduled to be completed?
anyone want to bet it is completed 3 months later?
now the builders will become targets for racial abuse and have sticks and rocks chucked at them while they go about there merry business building the 4 million dollar skate plaza.
I liked that ramp, shame to see it scrapped.
It'd be nice if they could relocate to some skatedeprived suburb, like the old leichart aquatic site maybe.
double or nothing Skoot? No skatepark at 5 Dock by June 30th??
or my favourite at 10 to 1 odds Fernside and 5Dock both not completed by 30th June (note use of word both offer exclusive to Skoot if gambling is a problem call g-line on something 0 something)
Fernside should be finished , at the latest by the end of May, but it could be earlier weather and etc. permitting.
What is happening at Five Dock ? Mick ?
In other news hot off the Sydney skatepark news desk the public tender to build Manly Vale skatepark was advertised for in the Herald classifieds earlier this week and Revesby Council are after a designer for thier skatepark ( tender advertised )...but it still begs the question: What is happening at Five Dock?
