What! No bowl. Or no tranny. How lame. This should not be called a skatepark. There's nothing there to skate just shit to jump off and jump over. The antiskatepark.
Im all for bowls and tranny, but surely we can let all these kids have one park (or skate plaza) built for their style.
one day they will learn how to carve and appreciate transitional skating but for now can't they have one place in sydney to jump of stuff, land on their balls and have no flow at all?
Every new bowl thread has heaps of streeties wining for ledges and shit. This is just our turn to winge to them.
Street skaters will be all in zimmer frames at 30 anyway. Olly ledge stuff will do your legs in in no time.
So Im just basically being an old bastard takin the piss. It actually does look like a good plaza style park. Power to um. I might go down there to practice acid drops. Lots of ledges to ride off.
hmm i dont really like it. not just coz i dont like skate plazas but pretty much for the same reason as other people. there is sooo much wasted empty space. and there is a funbox, but no rollin or drop in or anything? i dunno doesnt seem right to me

i agree with beastman and Frank.C's suggestions about adding the euros, flat bars and banks etc.
Hopefully this park will turn out to be a really good one.
Needs to have a few drunk hobbo's, a couple of irate security guards, some dodgey concrete joins/trip hazards, some meaningless modern sculpture...
pretty cool but we seriously need a skatepark in blacktown,sydney because in our council we only hav 1 skatepark and thats rooty hill and we r one of he biggest councils in NSW make 1 in blacktown or seven hills!
if your gonna go to the effort to make a proper street style park with no trany or banks, at least make it look something like you would find on the street.
that kinda looks like a whole heap of concrete thrown together with ledges pointing out everywhere.
follow dcs lead and do a scaled down version of that, trees and all.
and if its a street plaza, dont put any tranny or banks at all, it defeats the whole purpose, plus every other park in oz has tranny.

yeah,just make another small barcelona is what rome may be hunting towards,and agreed rome,but i would still skate that
i say put in one of those lifesize chess boards... you can do a trick then come back and move your piece.
just copy heaps of otha famous spots around the world n just throw em in a good positon...
