jeru, you have no right to be in a thread about sydney. traitior!
ive cried myself to sleep every since youve left. im sorry if this post is harsh but i need to let my emotions out
Belinda from the council contacted me yesterday and said that the meeting will be on another date.
No skaters seem that enthusiastic about the park anyway and it doesn't help when a council f@$#s around skaters.
THIS IS THE LATEST MESSAGE FROM THE COUNCIL MEMBER.
Hey there again
I have just had confirmation from the Exec team at Council that the skate
plans and recommendations is on the agenda for the Tuesday 7 Feb meeting.
Starting time of the meeting is 7.30pm, Level 5, Civic Centre (ROOM 2).
Civic Centre is at 1 Devlin Street RYDE (opposite Top Ryde Shopping
Centre).
The report is first on the agenda so skaters can leave straight after that,
should only be max 1/2 an hour if all goes well. I will definitely need
you there as support of the proposal and it would be great if you could
bring along any other fellow skaters in case you guys have to say anything.
Look forward to it...
Thanks again
The meeting with the council members was last night and it was approved to go to the public. So now the public get to view the proposed plans and I think the proposed site and they can let the council know what they think.
So, I think they have two more steps to take before the skatepark is actually approved and gets built.
