that last park looks smooth as pete, but where are all the people?!!
another small town with a rad park by the look of it... reminds me of moroopna (not the park, the lack of people)
Hughenden is 376km west of Townsville - a bit of trek for ya Dregs but definately worth checking out.
It shitted over Morroopna Benna - and yeah not a person in sight (a bit errie actually as it was tucked away from the road so you didn't even see the stray car drive past) in start contrast Charters Towers was damm average and packed full of kids...
Had another look and thought about our skate at Mooroopna and I have to say that you just can't beat a closed bowl with endless lines....

The park has had some mods since photos were taken (half pipe end bowled in and wild graffitti paint job)
As much as I wanted to stop and check out the parks in Townsville time was getting on, the kids were restless and the missus keen to get to our holiday destination of Cairns...
We were going to head back down the coast past Townsville so we made a bee line for Cairns...
well you didnt really miss out on much pete, but if your ever in t-ville shoot us a email and we'll get together for a skatey-boardy
Chilled out Day 3 in Cairns, looked for the local park and discovered it had been demolished for the new bowl... (see page 1 pics)
Day 4 headed up to table lands and tracked down the Mareeba skatepark - halfie...
Looked Ok from a distance, bit mellow and narrow...
Then I saw the coping ??
The flat was covered in sand and it felt pretty slick so I didn't even both the sweep the flat and headed to Atherton to check the park there...
Atherton park turned out to be a lot of fun despite being small and in differing states of condition due to the park evolving through 3 stages of construction...
Sorry no pics until I get a cable for the video camera...
