Moonah snake run

Cal.. 09:58 16/Mar/06

he ment that kids are more into the street styled parks. the truth is there not skating bowls and stuff there into street styled parks. yes you can go skate "street" but it would be nice to have a park suited more to what the next generation of skaters want to skate.. rabble rabble.

If your local park was that & you still wanted to skate street, you should be raped with a fist covered in razor wire.

...we'll organise a meeting very soon, and you guys can bring some ideas to the table. start cutting out pictures, and drawing things on paper.

Lets aim for Thurs. next week 23rd March - at EC, bout 5pm.

DeathMoth 05:38 20/Mar/06

perhaps the last hip before the bowl could be further across so u could hit that first hip, then the 2nd, then 3rd into the bowl.
i don't even know where moonah is but if people want more street they should not go to the skatepark and not complain about too much tranny

floggo 22:56 29/Mar/06

the bowl looks pretty good...

Just one thing with the bowled out end on it...
i hope its kinda tight because ive seen many a round bowl (excluding belco) which just doesnt have the height to match the distance between trannies, making it uncarvable...(hope that makes sense) be soo good to have a tight whippy bowled out section there...

street sections in a park always add to the fun...but im sure any real skater would agree, a good balance is needed...
we should all take a leaf out of chinas book...amazing.

I'd love to go to Tassie to skate the snake run and bowl!

Whoever it was that said put a volcano on the end of the spine, that is a bloody excellent idea! They are heaps of fun!

Also wondering how deep the snake run gets as you get closer to the bowl end. I agree with floggo, the bowl should be a bit deeper, but i think youd want to avoid a harsh waterfall into it.
With the correct gradient increase throughout the snake, that would be fukn sick mate!

floggo 02:49 30/Mar/06

yeah fully...those shitty waterfalls into the deep...
like at the bra...
that shits me to tears...
needs a nice gradual downfall into the pit of death...
which is what it should be...

Tone 03:19 30/Mar/06

Nah man. You can pump a waterfall whereas gradual declines mean no opportunties to get more speed before hitting a wall. That's OK at Belcs and Godbowl cause the walls are close together but somewhere like West Beach or Caloundra I find myself doing a lot of rolling across flat from one wall to another.

As much as I hate to say it I think Godbowl suffers a little from this. Luckily it's small enough not to be an issue but a 2ft waterfall from shallow to deep would have been rad.

Go the waterfall !!

McFly 03:24 30/Mar/06

second that point about Caloundra.
don't know how a waterfall would go there though?

waterfalls suck, paint trays are the go.

Tone 03:54 30/Mar/06

Just build it on two levels I guess. Keeps the coping level but allows big and small tranny.

Paint trays are for the sensitive artists among us.

Uneasy.. 06:21 30/Mar/06

Yeah, still have a waterfall, but a mellower one than the Bra.

If it was from say 7, 8 or 9 foot to 10, 11 or 12.

Toms pool has it about right.

ripped charri 06:36 30/Mar/06

gg unit that design is sick

floggo 13:27 30/Mar/06

yeah there is a difference between a nice downhill decline which is able to be pumped with speed and a quater minus the coping...the bra bowl is seriously jacked, way too steep...thats kinda what i meant...
and i dont think the godbowl suffers...the decline is pretty much spot on...the idea is to pump over the hip to get into the speed lines... pools dont, nor are they meant to have 'waterfalls' or whatever...
but i know what your talking about when you are referring to caloundra...what a slow park that is...
