you could skate there with your 10 years experience on it.

Dave you have no right to be a dick, you made the very same thread a fair while ago but in Other.
As you want skateboarding related the only advice I can give is throw resumes at shops (even surf shops which stock boards, then just drop subtle hints about how much better your local skate shop is) or contact a Disturbution company

OR

You could try and get a job at a Fast Food restuarant/something non skate related just to pay for things on a casual basis and still try looking for work in the industry

If you are going to hit up shops, make sure you have a good resume. It dosn't need to have amazing achievements or anything, just written well with zero/limited spelling grammar mistakes. It may also be good to see if you can make a time to see the manager in person if they are not the one you are giving the resume to. Also dress well. New looking skate shoes and clothes will help.

Also, If you dont know how to use an eftpos machine and/or a computerised sales system go learn how even if you have to pay someone just to do to do a bit of work experience.

If you can exhibit good communication skills, confidence, good presentation and they don't need to train you as much then your chances will be much better.
