> CANON XM2 QUESTIONS...URGENT
im looking at buying a camera, and had my dad look round in singapore for the couple days hes there for business. well, he found a canon xm2 for about 3000 singapore/2325 AUS. which can be bargained down im sure. i was wondering if this is a good camera for filming and if the price is any good. what lenses i can put on and anything else useful. thanks
the camera is good and you can get a mk2 for it it is good for filmin and for that price you should get it and get a deathy then youll have a good setup. hope i helped in some way

colours are super nice and the audio is alot better than the XM-1's
i think if you look hard enough you may be able to find the mk1 for that cam too
probably only second hand, but god damn its worth it

Price is awesome. I paid a fair bit more for mine. Sick cam, nice and light. Once you get a deathy on a VX (2000 n e way haven't played with a 2100) they get pretty heavy. All good if you're into having one buff arm! Only downside in my opinion is no zoom ring, but hey just means you gotta be careful when doin zoom shots. The XM2's are awesome in low light too.

damn, the main issue is if i want to lay down that much cash for it. i dont know how much serious filming ill get out of it
yeah do it.. if u get something cool you'll get into filming and editing more..
actually, i think itd be a GL2 if i get in NTSC
im seriously considering it, but its a huge setback in the bank for me. id ont know if its worth it or what. if i decide to sell it, if i can get a lot back on ebay or whatever. id unno
prob like 2200 on ebay maby but why would you sell it they are a good cam well anyway get it.

Ive just been playing with the Manual settings to learn to get the colours rightits still hit and miss at the moment unfortunately
im stoked on the daytime colours im getting now though bar the odd shot
