> FINAL CUT HELP!!!!!
when i import music to final cut it usually has strange informaties like sometimes repeting itself and having short skipps in the soundtrack, any help on how to fix this problem would be apresiated
thanks
mp3 or wav? compressed formats can cause problems so try converting to wav first.
shorts
its simple
Its all to do with your audio format
Final Cut Pro hates MP3's
this is the super simple super quick way i do it now
in Itunes
control+click on a track>convert selection to AIFF
then just drag that AIFF version that will appear
drag it onto your desktop
then drag it into your timeline
AIFF works best on FCP
any dramas hit me up on msn with the addy in my profile
good luck
i dont think so
ummmm
try this
when in itunes click on the song you want to convert go to ADVANCED>Convert Selection To Aiff
but it will probably still say acc
umm, if youre on mac OSX go to check for software updates
maybe this was somethign they added on the new itunes version
mine was upgraded a few weeks ago
u can use quicktime
open the mp3 in quicktime and got File>Export and export it as a AIFF in there
ive had the same problems with mp3s so yer that will work fine now with the AIFF
ive found that is the only downside to final cut, im sure it will be fixed in final cut 5 or future versions

Go into iTunes preferences and click the importing tab.
Select AIFF as the import encoder.
Put the cd back in and import the song you want.
Worse comes to worse, burn the song to a music CD, not data
re insert the CD and just click and drag that file to where you want it
CD Audio files are AIFF
yeah wavs were developed for pcs by microsoft, figured aiffs were something similar.
