BRISBANE SKATERS: anyone who lives in brisbane would have been to footbridge atleast once before, i went for a night skate last firday to find out that it is being fucked with by the council. they have taken out every second tile on all the ledges except the main one which makes it impossible to grind or do tricks off. although it isnt the best spot it was still a fun sesh with those perfect smooth tiles. By next week it will probably be destroyed for ever... R.I.P
I went there on Friday during the day, They have cut out the ledges and lowered bits of it.
I think they are just doing like the ones on the flat.
(The ledges, that are getting fucking up are marked with a " X." )
There wasn't any marks on the garden gap ledges or the little drops and stuff.
So the ledges that have been done are dead, haven't been back since.
Ok..........
lowey, as FOG said, we dont think all of it is being destroyed.
we were talking to one of the guys and he said the ledges with the spray-painted X on them are being chopped. He said if we skate the fuck outta the ledges that have been skate-stopped, the goverment will have no choice but to leave it until they find a better idea.
so people! get off your ass and chop off the remaining top blocks, theyll be a bit smaller and easy to skate! wax and or coping would be sick for lines.
and in all fairness i seriously dont think the council will care about the gap/drop things as there is that 'malted ground' around those ledges to stop us in the first place.
arrgghhh my fingers hurt. but yer we should mission that shit and have it well and truely underway by next year's International Skate Day 2006!
oh and he said the goverment/council are lazy c unts and wont get off there ass for like another year to make new skate stoppers. so wateva!

the security guards dont give a shit about footbridge but as soon as u cross the road they come out and tell you to go back over to the ledges
