here im doing the WLF. what you need-
knife
ruler (metal works best)
cutting mat
circle cutter
holepunchers
scissors
ball pointpen/fine point
cut out enough stuff. when buying the stuff take a piece of your leather with you so you can see if it is thin enough.
i was happy with that, now do the rest. using a metal ruler is best. if you use a plastic or wood the cutter gets caught in it very easy. knife is better than scissors aswell i found because i was getting very wobbly lines with them.
2nd go was much better. remember to cut inside the ilnes you drew so it will be the actual size.
place it on, work from the inside out pushing what glue you can out. keep pressure on it where ever you can
when the glue goes tacky rub it off. use you knife in the edges to 'cut' the glue you can see out. dont do what i did and wipe fabric glue on your new cords
