By the way these are all shot on a Canon 550D mostly using the nifty 50. Hardflip was on the sigma 10-20 though. Going full frame when I have some dosh

Not bad man.

Timing is pretty good on all of them, exposure as well. With the backlip I'd consider panning a little higher so that the ground around the ledge is a little more viewable & the skater is slightly higher in the frame, or even going for a little bit higher angle to get framed perfectly in the square, but I like what you've done there. The hardflip angle is pretty out there, I'd probably have him as high as possible in the frame, more of the run up & block he's landing on, etc.

Other than that, keep it up dude. The front smith for example is really really good.

cheers man, i agree about the back lip photo, if i had a wider lens or full frame i could have done everything i wanted to haha.

and yeah the hardflip i just quickly switched from video to photo and took a snapshot instead, i just like the shadows and stuff.

but yes thanks, much appreciated

Man, i wouldn't be worrying about a full frame just now. What i would be doing is buying a basic slave set, and some flashes, get some sunpak 555's or something like that. A full frame isn't going to make your photo's any better. No hate, just advice.

thanks for the advice, earlier i bought a set of cactus v5 triggers and i have a couple of old flashes that i think will work with them. otherwise im gonna try and pick up a speedlite 430 ex ii

Nice pics Scott. Looks like you have a decent eye for composition and timing, just keep shooting and looking at other people's work. I wouldn't bother buying too much camera gear just yet.. some times it's nice to just work with what you've got. Timing is pretty spot on but a lot of these need level adjustments to bring out your dark tones.
First pic just needed to be tilted down - get rid of the dead space in the sky and show the run up on the ground.
My faves are Christians fs lip on the quarter and Jade's fs feebs
