> FISHEYE??
"you could get the canon 15mm f/2.8, it'd still be wide enough and would maintain the fisheye effect on a digi."
I disagree. I have taken shots with a 15mm on a canon d20. I did not think it was wide enough (for my tastes anyway).
i just spent the past few hours viewing a whole gallery skate pics taken on a 20d with a 15mm sigma (which is on par with the canon 15) and i have to say they just didnt cut it, no where near enough angle. I guess im going to go for the peleng 8mm. if the cropping and what not take my fancy i can always sell it and buy the sigma 8mm. definatly looking foward to getting a bg. the end of the month(and hence my paycheck) needs to hurry uppp already
p.s- you know you made that sly d20 joke on purpose;)
can I give my probably useless critique? a bit closer and lower would make it nice imho, the far view makes the ledge looked abit wild. that said, your d-fish makes me want one soo bad. wah wah wah. i'll just have to become a fantastic long lens shooter instead :O
I agree completely. If I had my shit together I would not have shot it using the fish at all. Would have loved to get that suski more like this
shityeah drew, thats killer! love the flash setup!! remember if you want to split the flashes im keen to purchase one
Yeah split em Drew. You wanted 1g aye? Make Brynn's $800 and i'd happily pay the $200 for the ther one ;)
a 15mm on a 20D = 24mm which isnt fisheyed at all "i seen it!"
Brynn, look at Ben K's shots, he uses a peleng 8mm on a 300D (1.6x) and his shots come ourt bloody distorted!
you can still get nice big prints from them (even after crop)! seems like a good idea
excuse me.... but isn't a canon 830i a video camera?
the i suggests so... because i certainly haven't EVER heard of an eos 830i...
i think its hilarious that nobody has pointed this out already? people are crapping on about crop factors
ahahah :S werd
brad, if u wanna go halvies then it just leaves us with a transmitter to get rid of (unless you wanna buy it). but seriously, im keen to split if you are. they're 540's aren't they drew?
I'm not that interested anymore Drew, sorry : (
I'm thinking of buying some metz flashes or skimp on the whole flashgun scene and get a studio setup.
