hartley, a bloke i know on the gold coast is selling his 1d for $3.5K. reckon you could get him down a fair bit on that though. its in good nick. let me know if you want his details.
the st-e2 transmitter sucks elder, it has mega blind spots and is a general pain in the arse. Its ok for use indoors where it can bounce off walls but outdoors it can "not work regularly"

No worries, I just went the tightarse method and got a 5m and a 10m flash sync cord. Will be fine for most times I need to shoot. I don't want to be no pro photo g so really good for the price.
yeah man... i've got myself a 15 foot sync cord... which is fine for one flash... pretty handy actually
in the future I would like to use 3 flashes (my aim) ... you cant really attach 3 sync cables to the one slot which is why im looking into opticals...
just looking out for people that may want to sell their Vivitar 285's ... or I'll have to buy them new :(
