> FEBRUARY PHOTO COMP
i agree with drew, still nice shot though. I was interested if any photogs have an opinion on this situation, say your shooting someone and they are stomping almost every shot and then they land their trick but the timing was heaps better 1 shot before on a stomp, is it legit to run the stomp?
ive always been under the impression its ok to choose the best timing pic as long as its been a land. i dunno how strict it is for magazines etc,
if you allow a no land nose grind you could allow a guy standing in a blunt position on a 30 stair ledge
For the sake of Grant's integrity let me clarify, He was trying FS noseslides accidentally locked and grinded this, put it down and stepped off, still within the confines of a 'no make' but my no means a pose either.
Regardless a fair call on that it should be a make to be eligible, my bad fellers, I'll try keep it more kosher.
best picture of a trick made properly within the same session.
Thats my take on it.
My hierarchy of most ideal to least ideal:
1. Used photo is the land
2. Photo is a stomp from the same session
3. Photo is just a decent catch/grind/whatever from the same session (it's usually gotta be pretty close anyway, otherwise it's obvious to see)
3. As above but not from the same session (skater has to have gone back and got the trick before the photo is 'run')
Complete no lands are pretty much a no-no for me. I wouldn't even blog a no-land unless it was a totally fucked up/weird/interesting looking photo that I won't have the chance to shoot again.
I can understand why you might wanna show your photoG buddies and go "how's the comp/lighting on this?" or "how sick would this be if it was a land?" on photos like that Cameron, but I wouldn't be 'using' them for anything.
I also support the Bossmang's sentiments (if that wasn't already obvious).
Yo Adam S, what park is that backside nose grab shot at? Saw a thread about it but can't find it
